These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Roll Call, available at votewithcongress.com (the "Service"), operated as an independent personal project (the "Operator," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Roll Call lets visitors read the text and status of real bills introduced in the United States Congress and cast a symbolic vote — Yea, Nay, or Present — reflecting how they would vote if they held a seat. The Service may also offer tools to share bills on social media, generate narrated videos or podcast episodes about selected bills, and prompts encouraging visitors to contact their actual elected representatives.
Roll Call is an independent, privately operated project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Congress, the Library of Congress, Congress.gov, or any other government agency or official body. Bill text, status, and related information are drawn from publicly available government sources and may be incomplete, delayed, outdated, or contain errors. Always verify anything important against the official record at congress.gov.
Any vote you cast on Roll Call is symbolic only. It is not transmitted to, counted by, or in any way binding on Congress, any elected official, or any government body, and it is not a substitute for contacting your representatives directly or participating in official elections. Nothing on the Service constitutes legal, legislative, or political advice, and Roll Call does not endorse any bill, party, or candidate.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
When using the Service, you agree not to:
Underlying bill text and other government data made available through the Service remain in the public domain. Roll Call's own design, branding, generated narration, generated videos and share cards, and software are owned by the Operator or its licensors. You may share generated share cards, video links, or page links for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided you do not present them as official government material and, where reasonably practical, attribute them to Roll Call with a link to votewithcongress.com.
The Service may link to or embed content from third parties, including Congress.gov and YouTube. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party sites or services, and linking to them does not imply endorsement.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its content is accurate or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in New York.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@votewithcongress.com.
